Don’t sweep on New Year’s Eve
Scott Hasting, the co-founder of “BetWorthy”, stumbled upon a couple of superstitions during the time he lived in the Philippines. One of the cleaning traditions that stuck with him was to never sweep or throw away anything on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.
The reason behind this is that you might be driving the luck way from the rest of the year. Again, it has something to do with new/old energies, that under no circumstances, should be mixed.
So, basically, if you want to clean your home during that time, you definitely need to do it before the end of the year.
