Open Umbrellas

You’ve probably heard by now that opening an umbrella indoors brings bad luck. This superstition has its roots in Egyptian legends, but also in Norse traditions, and to be blunt, it’s funny as hell.

Apparently, by bringing an item that protects your body from rain, you’re insulting your home’s guardian spirits. They’ll believe that their protection isn’t enough.

Whether it’s bad luck or not is up for debate, but next time you’re close to poking an eye out with your umbrella, ask yourself if it was an accident or your guardian spirits’ fault!

Do you have any superstitions that you grew up with? If so, write them in the comment section.
