Don’t take out the garbage after sunset
This superstition says that you shouldn’t take out your garbage after it gets dark and that it’s better to wait until sunrise the next day. Some people believe that taking the trash out after sunset will not only bring bad luck but also cause members of the household to argue.
Similarly, some folks say that if you leave your knife on its blunt edge, it will cause quarrels in the family. On the other hand, in Ireland, if you leave crossed knives on the countertop it will bring quarrels and arguments. In other countries, giving knives as a wedding gift will bring chaos to the marriage.
