5. Iodine
Similar to coffee or tea, iodine works by camouflaging scuff marks. So, if you have a darker piece of wood, iodine can work wonders, and you won’t even know there was a scratch. The method is quite easy, but keep in mind that it only works for dark-finished furniture.
Not only is iodine a great antiseptic for a scratched knee, but it also works for scratched furniture, so go get a bottle of iodine from a nearby pharmacy store.
Apply a few drops of it on a cotton swab, then rub the swab over the scratched area. Make sure you remove any excess, as it can stain the surrounding wood.
6. Wood Polish
Wood polish is another product you can use to cover any nicks in your wooden furniture. As with customized wood markers, wood polish can be found in home improvement stores.
They usually have many different finishes, so matching your wood color and finishing becomes relatively easy. Use a microfiber to apply it and rub in the direction of the scuff marks until they are gone.
