3. Markers or Crayons
This one may seem a little bit childish, but it really works! All you have to do is find a marker that matches the color of your wood’s surface. Once you’ve found it, hiding scratches becomes very easy.
The same rule applies to the crayons as well. After you’ve covered the dings, just wipe away any excess wax from the area to ensure it’s free of any buildup. You can even mix two colors to achieve the closest match. If you don’t have any crayons or markers, you can purchase customized wood markers from your local home improvement store.
4. Nuts
Who would have ever thought that rubbing nuts on scuff marks would remove those scratches from your wood furniture? Well, apparently it works! This is due to the oil found in nuts, which swells up the wood to fill in the imperfections and stain it.
Crack the walnut in half and use the flesh to rub the affected area. The crevices will fill in, making the wood’s surface look smoother. We recommend using walnuts because of their soft texture.
