If someone would have told me years ago that the antistatic spray that I use on my wooden furniture can make it dirtier, I would have laughed so hard. But it turns out to be true. Most of the wax-based antistatic sprays are meant to protect the surface while also removing the dust, but when they’re used more frequently than once or twice a month, they might create an oily buildup that draws more dust and debris.
So next time you’re planning a cleaning routine, consider using just a dry, clean cloth to wipe away the dust instead of a spray. Plus, it’s going to be less costly!
