1. Cast iron pans
Every dinner or cooking session ends with a massive pile of dirty dishes in the sink, almost begging me to wash them. Oh Lord! We all know this struggle, and we can agree that it’s a never-ending story. If you have a dishwasher, consider yourself lucky, but if you don’t, you have to wash them by hand, and it will take more than 20 minutes.
Since most of the grease is stubborn and won’t disappear miraculously, we have to use strong dish soaps. But are they any good? Well, the answer is simple: no! Besides harming your cast iron pans and other sensitive dishes, it will also cause harm to your hands. Next time you must wash your dishes, save some time, and use kosher salt to remove the dirt from the surfaces. Let them sit for 10 minutes with warm water and a pinch of salt. Then, wash them accordingly with a soft sponge. Voila! Shiny dishes with less effort and chemicals.
