2. Vacuum

Closet moths may “flourish” in homes with indoor pets or when there is a buildup of hair in particular regions. While rearranging furniture, such as beds and couches, helps prevent hair from piling up undetected, many people vacuum instead. Another place where hair might collect is on the floor of closets. Moths often seek places that are cozy and warm so they can lay their eggs. And these places are usually keratin-rich, which is probably the best food source for them.

Make sure you remove those places by vacuuming at least twice a week, even in those places that aren’t reachable. This is also applicable to homeowners who have natural-hair rugs because they must be vacuumed on a regular basis. Remember to VACUUM your drawers and wardrobe as well! The interior of the wardrobes can be cleaned with warm water and soap before putting all your clothing back in them.
