2. You never measure the quantity of detergent that you use

Believe it or not, this is one common mistake a lot of people, including myself, tend to make. When in a hurry, we forget to measure exactly the quantity that is good for the washing cycle. Adding too much detergent (it doesn’t matter if it’s liquid or powder) can damage your appliance pretty badly. Also, if you use too much detergent, your clothes will be soaked in it, which can make them look worse after washing. Next time you do the laundry, make sure you use the measuring container you have!

A small tip: Don’t overload your washing machine! Otherwise, the rinsing process won’t be done properly, and your clothes will smell a bit funky afterwards.
