5. Lint build-up
Another sign that your dryer vents need cleaning is an abundance of lint after using it. The clean dryer duct design allows hot air from your appliance to exit and go outside, and if the dryer is clogged with lint, it will malfunction. Due to the potential for dangerous issues later on, you should be careful if unusually large volumes of lint flow into the garment chamber of your dryer. Because there are some fabrics (especially velvet) that tend to attract lint, make sure you empty the lint trap after every single use of your appliance.
Although you may think lint can’t harm your dryer, being safe is better than being sorry when it comes to your favorite devices.
