Nobody likes their clothes to smell bad, but while this is one warning sign that your dryer should be cleaned as soon as possible, there are some other smells that are even more “dangerous.” If your dryer emits a burning odor after each cycle, it’s time to seek professional assistance. Lint could be the main cause of this because, in most cases, it accumulates in the system, causing the appliance to malfunction. If by any chance the lint gets to the dryer’s heat supply, it can heat up, and even worse, it can start burning.
If you notice the dryer emitting a burning odor, turn it off as soon as possible and stop using it until it has been properly cleaned by professionals.
