3. Longer drying times
Most people believe that when a dryer’s cycle takes too long to dry the clothes, it’s broken and they need a new one. In fact, lint accumulation is the problem, and if your dryer also has this issue, it’s time to ask for a professional cleaning.

4. Your vent hood flap doesn’t open properly
The air flow has been blocked, leading to harmful accumulation, if your duct hood flap isn’t opening as it should or if you notice lint or debris near the dryer hose or outside vent opening. This is yet another indication that your dryer requires a professional inspection and possibly cleaning.
