You can wash your coffee carafe with dish soap with no problem, especially since you’ll rinse it really well after soaping it up.
But you might want to reconsider putting it in the machine or through a cycle, because just like a toilet tank, dish soap could start breaking down some of the plastic parts inside your device over time.
Besides, you’d need to run clear water through multiple times to make sure you wouldn’t end up with a bubbly cup of coffee, which is an entire process in itself.
If you only have dish soap on hand and you definitely need to wash your coffee machine, you can simply use 2 drops of dish soap mixed really well in a cup of water.
