3. Jewelry
Disinfecting cleaners include too many abrasive chemicals for use on sensitive jewelry metals and expensive gemstones. Even hand sanitizer can harm some pieces of jewelry, which is one reason why earlier in the pandemic several experts advised against wearing rings, watches, and bracelets.
Just keep them clean if you decide to continue wearing jewelry on your hands and wrists. You only need some plain soap and water!
4. Hardwood surfaces
Similar to leather, hardwood is very sensitive, and the disinfectants are too harsh for it. Wipes are inefficient since they leave the surfaces quite wet, whereas wood surfaces need to dry rapidly. It is not recommended to often clean wood trim, furniture, or floors with products that contain alcohol because doing so causes the finish to deteriorate over time.
