5. Ketchup or homemade tomato sauce

The first thing you should do after dropping ketchup or tomato sauce on your clothes is to rinse it very well with cold water. Then sprinkle it with one spoon of baking soda and a splash of vinegar. Brush it gently with your fingers because a regular toothbrush might be too rough for the fabric! After this procedure, make sure you wash your garment as usual, following the instructions on the label.

Small tip: if your homemade sauce contains extra oil, the stain might be difficult to remove, so take care of the oily part in the first place. Apply a drop of dish soap to the item first and let it sit for 5 minutes or more, depending on how stubborn or old the stain is.
