8. Add garden lights to your backyard (or balcony)
Do you have a backyard? If the answer is yes, then you should definitely improve it, especially if the summer is knocking at your door. Unfortunately, backyards have often been the most neglected part of the house. We don’t know why, but we can break this pattern and do something with no space. If you feel the need to add a little bit of sparkle to your garden, now’s the time.
Some light bulbs will make everything better. No doubt! Hanging lights are always nice especially if you spend the time outdoors reading.
If you don’t have a backyard, you can always make a cozy spot out of your balcony. It just needs a bit of your creativity.
9. Use drawers to increase storage space
Drawers under your bed, besides the fact that they actually look nice, will help you increase space for storing things. You will also learn how to be more organized.
10. Paint your ceiling in a darker shade
We previously mentioned that neutral colors help you create the illusion of a bigger room. If this applies to the walls, the ceilings are a whole different story. Consider adding some navy blue to it in order to make it look higher. Neat, right?
I would go for dark green since my sofa is in a similar color. A modern look is in the small details.
