Bright white has had its moment of glory, but the color is now the star of the show. According to Annie Kersey of Purple Cherry Architects, “We love the idea of creating monochromatic settings in rich colors and overall cozier spaces, with less emphasis on bright white and open concept interiors.”
If you’re willing to make bold choices, Bethany Adams of Bethany Adams Interiors is here to tell you, “Go on!” She predicts darker spaces will also be quite trendy in 2023. “Dark and moody living rooms are replacing the bright and light hygge look,” she points out. “Deep, rich colors, comfortable furnishings, and historic trim details create spaces that are similarly cozy but provide a little more whimsy and personality.”
