7. Certain small appliances
Although you use your microwave or toaster almost daily, you don’t need to worry about keeping them sparkling clean. And most important: Don’t use any disinfectant on them! They could damage the surface, and afterwards they won’t look clean either.
Clean your microwave with a wet cloth (only after you unplug it) soaked in baking soda or a bit of lemon juice. For a sparkling clean interior, squeeze half a lemon into a medium bowl with water. Put it in the microwave for 5 minutes, and after that, clean the walls with a dry cloth or some kitchen towels.
8. Lacquered furniture
By using these alcohol-based wipes, you can damage the glossy finish of lacquered desks and chairs. The same holds true for any hardwood in your home, including chair molding and stair railings, which might be finished with a high-sheen lacquer.
