4. Rats
Even if they look cute, they are a real danger to the house, and nobody likes to see them around. Black rats are the most common in the US, and if they find a way to crawl into your home, they can damage insulation, chew on walls, and if they bite electrical cables, they might cause an unexpected fire.
Nothing escapes from their teeth, not even your furniture or your clothes.
And they can carry a lot of diseases that can cause pathogens.
5. Termites
Termites are one of the most harmful pests in all of America. Termite damage can reach up to $7,000 to $8,000 and most insurance policies don’t cover these damages. They can eat your wood for 24 hours straight.
These creatures don’t get bored easily, and they might stay for a while in your house.
If you notice any cracks in the walls or in the house foundation, try to fill them as soon as possible. This applies to windows and doors, but even around water or gas lines.
All these “holes” are a free-way ticket to your home. Also, try to reduce the amount of moisture in and around the house, as this can easily attract them.
