5. Vinegar
If the smell bothers you, believe me, it will bother them as well! Vinegar is one effective remedy against bed bugs, but it should be used together with the other ones from the list. However, it’s important to remember that vinegar can kill the bugs, but it won’t have an effect on the eggs.
You don’t have to worry about this being toxic for your pet if you have one! Vinegar might be the ideal emergency home remedy that you can effectively use against these insects. Plus it’s also budget-friendly!
6. Lavender and Peppermint Oil
Did I ever mention that I love essential oils? Little did I know that, aside from its significant impact on freshening up the air, it is also a good bug repellent. Create a mixture out of 10 drops of peppermint oil, 10 drops of lavender oil, and 20 drops of water in a spray bottle.
Spray all over the places where you find the bugs, especially in the dark corners or directly on your mattress. Be aware that this remedy won’t kill them completely, but they will for sure run away from your home in the blink of an eye. Have you ever tried out this remedy?
