5. Charging Batteries With Solar Power
Almost every battery-powered device can be charged with solar power through some kind of photo-electric panel system. Photovoltaic solar panels are designed to produce DC current, the same kind of current used in most batteries.
Many inexpensive and basic solar panel kits feature connections that allow you to plug in laptops, cell phones, and tablet devices for direct charging. You can also add a simple inverter that converts the DC electricity into 120-volt AC current. This will allow you to plug in the chargers for other appliances or electronics.
