#4 Using the Same Rag Around the House

We all have this instinct to pick up a cloth and go clean around the house, wipe down all the surfaces that need to be cleaned, to be done with cleaning as soon as possible. Even if we are thorough when cleaning, using the same rag all the time is a cleaning mistake!

You shouldn’t clean multiple surfaces with the same rag because you are just effectively moving the grime, dust, and germs around the house. Sure, we all use cleaners, but they don’t just make the dirt go away: it gets absorbed by the cloth we use. You’re basically moving the germs all-around your house.

It’s better to either use a sheet of paper towel for all the surfaces, which you can then just throw away or have a designated microfiber cloth for each section of your house. It’s more friendly with the environment and you can easily wash them after you’ve finished cleaning, as they last almost a lifetime!
