#9 Your hands when cooking
It happens to the best of us! You’re cooking and then, by accident, you either spill something or, after you have been handling ingredients, your hands are not sticky or greasy. Avoid falling into the temptation of grabbing the closest paper towel roll and using that to wipe down your hands. Not only will you be using way more paper towels than needed as you cook, but you will also be leaving residue on the roll as you grab it.
Chances are that you have an apron somewhere around your house that you are thoroughly ignoring. Wear that one as you cook. You can both protect your clothes from unwanted splashes, and use them to dry your hands! Instead of wiping your hands on paper, wash them when you feel the need to, and then dry them on your apron. It is both environmentally friendly and will save you money on rolls because you will use less of them.
And if you’re looking for ways to improve your cleaning habits, make sure you don’t fall for these cleaning mistakes that bring even more germs to your home!
