#7 Silverware– of any kind!
Whether you have an old silver cutlery set or you are fond of home decor or jewelry made of silver, avoid trying to make it shine with paper towels. Not only will they do a lousy job when it comes to spreading the polish on the objects, but you run the risk of thinking you can get the tarnish off with water (spoiler alert: You will not).
Stick with microfiber cloths and even the polish sponges that are included with some of the polishes. They will make certain that everything is evenly distributed and that your silver objects are shiny and new. No little paper pieces stuck in any crevices!
