Be creative and make a beautiful bespoke unit

As Emma Deterding, the founder and creative director of Kelling Designs, nicely pointed out, those days when TVs were big and ugly brutes are long gone. Nowadays, there are so many designer-led options that make the TV look so cool and smart.

If you’re trying to keep that luxury bedroom look you planned for so long, you can add a TV inside built-in joinery that will offer the perfect space for a new TV. You can also consider creating an interesting focal point around the TV! Let it resemble an art piece, and give your room the special vibe it deserves.

Choose the best location

Whether we’re talking about a couple’s bedroom or a guest bedroom, finding the proper location for your TV in the bedroom is very important, because it will dictate the way you WATCH TV. You have to find the right solution between too little or too much TV-to-bed distance.

Naturally, one of the best spots where you might place your TV is right across from the bed, because it’s the easiest way of viewing tv. As an alternative, you might want to place it on top of a dresser, at the end of the bed, maybe in a built-in cabinet, or even in the corner of the room.

If you decide to mount the TV on the wall, you can easily hang it at eye level. One way of understanding where it needs to be placed is to take an inch of tape and start measuring your eye height from the floor.

Then you simply install the TV at the same height, on the wall. However, make sure that you properly tilt it downward, to have it on the proper eye level you desire.
