4. Optimize your wall space
When possible, use your walls as storage space. Install a pots and pans rack, a toiletries cabinet, coat and bag hooks on the hallway wall, shoe racks on the walls, and a cabinet for toiletries. But be careful! Don’t store too much stuff on your walls since this could make your house appear even more cluttered. Also, organize your possessions first, using the storage boxes you have.
Isn’t it easy?
5. Have a short-term holding spot
You’ll end up with a stockpile of items you want to remove from your house after you start cleaning up the clutter. For starters, decide where to put them for the time being. Naturally, rubbish is disposed of in the trash. However, you also need a place for other things, such as gifts for friends or donations to charities. You can drop them off the next time you’re out of the house using the trunk of your car. Once it is full, make a donation trip.
