1.Let clothes air out
This should be the first and simplest thing to do in order to get rid of the odors. Sunlight is the ideal way to combat odors that are caused by mildew. If you have a garden, you can hang them somewhere outside in a light breeze. This is one way to remove stubborn odors from clothes. Letting them dry in the sunlight after wearing them might be the best idea. Let us know how it went!
2. Spray them with white vinegar
It’s a simple solution and I guarantee it works! Take a spray bottle and fill half of it with white vinegar and half with water, and then shake gently until the mix is blended. Spray the clothes with the mixture and then hang them up to dry for a day or so before you wear them. You know, to make sure the vinegary smell disappears.
If it’s 100% cotton, you don’t have to worry about the fact that vinegar will discolor the fabric. Just remember that only white vinegar is OK to use on clothes, not apple cider vinegar! It will change the color of your clothes.
