3. Cleaning car mats
After wiping down all the surfaces and giving your windows and your windshield a thorough cleaning, the next step is to remove, shake out, and vacuum the floor mats. Believe it or not, these items are the ones that get dirty first, and my suggestion is to clean them as often as possible, at least once a week, especially during the autumn.
Give them a quick clean with warm water, and before you slip them back in, sprinkle a bit of baking soda overnight and vacuum them in the morning. By doing this, you will get rid of lingering odors and you will also be disinfecting them properly.
