4. Glass
Like many other surfaces mentioned earlier, glass is very vulnerable to scratches, so using baking soda to clean glass tableware, windows, or any mirrored surfaces can go horribly wrong.
Plus, sodium bicarbonate could also leave a white film over the glass, destroying its transparent and shiny appearance. So our recommendation is to stick with Windex or other commercial cleaners when cleaning these surfaces in your house.
If you really want to use natural cleaners, mix one part vinegar with 10 parts warm water — it will help you get rid of streaks or dirt, making your windows spotless and as shiny as ever.
