2.Rope banister
This will look great, especially if you are living in a house with more than one floor. Trade a standard wooden banister for jute or a rope to match your rug, or even the walls if they are light yellow. After anchoring brackets to the wall, secure the rope from the top to the bottom of the stairs. For a more aesthetic look, you can unravel both ends of the rope.
