- Have you heard of fabric paint? – All you need is to have a hand of a surgeon (just kidding) and a little fabric paint, and you can elevate the most basic surfaces! Let your creativity overflow by trying to stencil designs on a variety of fabric surfaces, such as rugs, lampshades, chairs, or even pillowcases.
- Use all your boxes, crates, and baskets – Apparently, more often than not we are left with a surplus of baskets and bins that are just lying around the house. You can put them to good use if you know how to store them creatively.
- Spruce up sofas – Let’s be honest, it isn’t very practical to buy a new couch every time you get bored with the current one. Even so, this doesn’t mean you can’t change something! Drape your favorite blanket over a sofa back for a quick touch of color, or even swap out your throw pillow in exchange for those that are in a different room.
- Transform a curtain into a tablecloth – Bet you didn’t know this one! Curtains are extremely easy to use when you want to change some accents in your room, and they can add an interesting dash of pattern and color to any space. If you have freshly-changed curtains but you don’t want to throw out the old ones, you can simply transform them into a tablecloth.
