Ever since they arrived on the market in 2003, E-cigarettes have seen an explosion in popularity, and while they might not technically be giving off any smoke, what they do give off may surprise you. And while you might think they are less harmful than cigarettes, studies have shown some surprising and not good results.
According to the American Nonsmokers’ Rights Foundation, when you exhale. the vapor from an E-cigarette can not only contain ultra-fine particles at greater concentrations than your everyday cigarette but very dangerous carcinogenic chemicals. There is a reason they’re banned in smokeless areas in 19 states.
