4. Use lemons as an air freshener

If you’ve gotten this far with reading, then you know how many great properties lemons have. Another quick way to get a fresh lemony scent in your house is to simply cut some lemons into quarters and put them in a pot with water. For an even more amazing scent that lasts, you can also sneak some herbs or spices of your own choice (e.g., basil or mint).

Put everything on the stove and let it simmer for about an hour. This is one of the easiest ways to eliminate odors from your home and leave the air pure and lemony fresh!

5. Get rid of yellow underarm stains

One thing I hate the most is the underarm stains on my shirts. This thing can be really annoying, especially on white clothing. A lot of antiperspirants have a weird reaction with our body salts, and that can create yellow stains, which are mostly hard to get rid of. And believe me, I’ve tried a lot of commercial products that were ineffective, but somehow I remembered the thing my mom used for stains in general. That’s it, you guessed! Lemons, of course.

To remove the yellow stains, create a mixture of one part baking soda, one part water, and one part lemon juice. Use a soft brush to rub the paste directly onto the clothing and let it sit for half an hour. Then wash it on a normal cycle in the washing machine.
