Overhead Exhaust and Filter
It’s time to roll up those sleeves and deal with stubborn grease buildup. According to cleaning expert Melissa Maker, there are some techniques to get rid of the nasty accumulated grease from the exhaust.
First, fill a bucket with hot water and add all-natural oxygen bleach. Remove the range hood filter and soak it for 20 minutes. After this, rinse it and allow it to dry. Next, use an enzyme cleaner such as Kurd Kutter or any kitchen degreaser to clean the overhead exhaust.
Apply it to the surface and allow it to do its job. The enzymes will break down the oil and grease, so you just have to let it work for a few minutes. Remove the gunk with a clean rag.
