Rapinchuk also shared with us a clever way to remove grease stains from your microwave. Fill a glass bowl with three to four cups of hot tap water, and add lemon chunks from one lemon. Place the bowl in the microwave, making sure it’s stable, and heat for up to five minutes, or until the water boils.
After this, leave the microwave door closed for a few more minutes to allow the steam to attack stuck-on grime and grease. Use oven gloves to remove the glass bowl, then take out the glass plate from the microwave to wash by hand.
Next, wipe down the interior of the microwave. You can use some white vinegar or an all-purpose cleaner if you’re dealing with stubborn stains. Allow it to dry before replacing the glass plate. That’s it!
