She chose light greige walls and ceiling (Pale Oak by Benjamin Moore), and bright white trim(Extra White by Sherwin-Williams), in order to keep things far away from moodiness.
Strickler discussed with the couple, concluding that her choice was the best one. “The black cabinets offer contrast for the wood floor. And I love the contrast of the gold hardware with the black cabinets. It’s classic and rich, and adds warmth.”
The main purpose was to lighten up how everything felt in the kitchen. She added glass fronts on the maple upper cabinets, which helped visually break the look and brighten up things.
