4. Untreated windows

Wide and open windows that allow plenty of natural sunlight to enter your room might look really good, but in reality, untreated windows can actually make you regret your decision.

First of all, you should know that if there isn’t any barriers on your windows, UV rays come straight in and fade and destroy your carpets and your seating. Secondly, you won’t get as much privacy. You might not be able to enjoy your beautifully styled room as much as you want to because you’ll have the feeling that your neighbor likes it quite a bit as well.

A proper window treatment can really make a room look good and put together, and it will also add a bit of texture. Sometimes, a room that has bare windows might look unfinished, even though you spent a lot of time decorating it.

5. Cozy Flokati RugsĀ

Cozy flokati rugs look really good, and they are your bare feet’s best friend. However, they are also more likely to shed, are not very easy to clean, and the material is able to trap plenty of dirt, dust, hairs, and other types of bacteria.

You might think that this decor item will do you service since it’s not that easy to see all the dirt, but if you really think about it, it’s actually bad for you in the long run because all those germs will be trapped in your home.

6. Uncomfortable Furniture

Do we really need to talk about this? Whether it’s chairs, sofas, dining chairs, or armchairs, it’s really annoying to have uncomfortable furniture at home. It might look good in person or in pictures, but would you sacrifice your comfort just so that your home looks better?

We’re all about things that give your home a great touch, but this rule doesn’t count when the items are not useful. If you plan on buying some furniture, make sure you take a seating test so that you won’t regret your purchase. And don’t be shy about it. Try out the normal position you usually sit in, with your back straight and your legs down. Cross your legs, turn around, and sit with your legs underneath you so that you can be sure those items are suitable for you.
