You should also know:Â
• That sanitizing is NOT the same as disinfecting. Sanitizing is as efficient as 99.9% in killing germs and takes between 30 to 60 seconds. Disinfecting is killing 99.999% of germs, but it takes up to 10 minutes, depending on the product.
•To check the label for how long your hard non-porous surfaces should stay wet. It may be necessary for you to apply the product multiple times on the surface, because of the possibility of it evaporating.
• No product can properly sanitize or disinfect a surface. So, before you disinfect, make sure you clean the area with water and soap so that it gets properly disinfected.
• To always test the surfaces in a hidden spot before using any kind of sanitizer or disinfectant on a surface. And, remember to clear with water any food contact surfaces and dry them after the cleaning process is done.
