6. Use your trunk and the glove box
How many things do you keep in your car that you don’t really need? Because I bet a lot of them belong in the trunk, and with a bit of organization, you can make a list with what you need close to you and what can easily be stored in the back. Keep all the documents, like your car registration and the insurance, in a baggie in your glove box, along with the car manual. This way, it will be easier to grab them whenever you’re stopped by an officer.
Things like flashlights, tools, and the emergency kit are better stored in the trunk. In order to keep everything organized and out of the way of other items traveling in it, you may get them in kits with zippered cases.
