4. Tennis shoes, sneakers, and slippers

Because of the adhesives used to glue them, they are very fragile at high temperatures. That’s why it’s best to keep your sneakers, slippers, and tennis shoes away from the tumble dryer. Even the rubber soles can bend at higher temperatures and separate from the upper side of the shoe.

The best way to dry your shoes after washing them (by hand or in the washing machine) is to stuff them with dry paper towels to absorb the humidity and wait for at least one hour. After that, remove the towels and let your shoes air dry, but avoid direct sunlight and heat on them.
