2. Natural and faux fur
It’s the middle of November, your fur got caught in heavy rain, and your next impulse is to stick it in the tumble dryer. Don’t make this mistake! The excessive heat from the dryer can make your fur crumple or dull its shine, and even worse, the fur can fall out. Instead of throwing it into the dryer, hang your furry coat and let it air dry.
3. Bras and hosiery
These items are way too delicate to throw in the tumble dryer. Even if a lingerie bag can protect them from the heat, over time, you may notice that the materials shrink, and the color will begin to fade. If your bra has laces, avoid the dryer completely! Otherwise, the heat can wrinkle them so badly that you won’t be able to wear them again.
To keep your hosiery, bras, and other delicate clothing in good condition, wash them by hand and air dry them on a flat drying rack.
